Swedish/Relaxation
Combines an array of strokes to help the body improve its circulation and provides wide-ranging benefits including relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels, and an overall sense of well-being.
Deep Tissue
A form of bodywork that addresses tension/tightness in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. It is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past injuries.
Myofascial Release
A technique used to treat injuries and discomfort, reduce pain, and increase range of motion. Myofascial release targets the fascia – the membrane encasing every muscle in the body. Imbalances in fascia can have effects on range of motion and comfort level.
Sports Massage
Designed for highly active people and to keep the athlete in top condition. Sports Massage helps to enhance performance, prevent injury, reduce pain and swelling, promote relaxation, and dramatically improve recovery rates.
Trigger Point Therapy
Focuses on stimulating and releasing “trigger points” in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension in the muscle belly similar to acupressure points. Focused pressure Is applied to release trigger points to provide lasting and transformative effects.
Cupping
Can be incorporated into any massage session. Silicone cups are applied to the surface of the skin using a pump creating a vacuum effect that decompresses tissues and creates spaces between layers of fascia. Cups are generally left in an area from 5 to 15 minutes. The effects are increased blood flow to an area bringing oxygen/nutrients while removing metabolic waste to assist in muscle recovery and range of motion.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
A gentle, non-invasive manual technique that has a powerful effect on the body. Light pressure is applied to stretch the skin in a specific manner based on physiological principles proven to encourage lymph flow and aid in the drainage of tissues. MLD treats many conditions including primary and secondary lymphedema, sports injuries, circulatory disturbances, pre-and post-plastic surgery edema, and more.
Oncology Massage
Research studies continue to prove the benefits of massage for people living with cancer: provide relaxation, comfort, stress reduction and quality of life; minimize effects of chemotherapy and radiation; relieve pain and nausea; reduce fatigue, and more. Oncology massage is administered after obtaining physician approval and a thorough intake evaluation. It consists of lighter massage strokes and/or nurturing touch to client’s tolerance and comfort level.
Reiki
Japanese form of bodywork that clears and balances the energy system in the body. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying of hands on the body, or hands a few inches above the body, to conduct the flow of energy. Benefits can include the release of mental/emotional stress and a deep sense of relaxation.
Chair massage
Is a popular way of releasing stress at your event or workplace. An ergonomic chair is brought to your location, and while seated, massage techniques are applied over clothing with all the usual health benefits of traditional massage.
